Meghalaya assembly election date, results 2023 full poll schedule: The Election Commission of India (ECI) on January 18 (Wednesday) announced the schedule for the Assembly polls in Meghalaya. The term of the Meghalaya assembly ends on March 15.

Meghalaya election 2023 date

Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar announced that the polls in the northeastern state for the 60-member assembly will be held in a single phase on February 27.

  • Last date of making notifications: February 7
  • Date of scrutiny of notifications: February 8

  • Date before election shall be completed: March 4

The term of these two assemblies (Nagaland and Tripura) will also end in March but on different dates. While the term of the Nagaland assembly ends on March 12, the terms of the Tripura assemblies end on March 22.

The three state assemblies have a strength of 60 members each.
