Assembly Elections 2023, Assembly Elections 2023 Counting Date, Assembly Elections 2023 Result Date: The Election Commission (EC) is expected to announce the schedule for holding assembly elections in five states today i.e. October 10. According to news agency PTI, the announcement is expected at around 12 noon.

Assembly elections are due in five states - Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Telangana and Mizoram - later this year. 

The term of the Mizoram assembly ends on December 17. The Mizo National Front is in power in the northeastern state. The terms of the legislative assemblies of Telangana, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan end on different dates in January next year.

While the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) rules Telangana, Madhya Pradesh is ruled by the BJP. The Congress is in power in Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan.

The Election Commission will announce the poll schedule today and constituency-wise voting dates will be updated here soon after that.
