As per the schedule announced by the Election Commission of India, Arunachal Pradesh is set to participate in the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections on April 19.

The declaration of results is slated for June 4, preceding the conclusion of the current Lok Sabha term on June 16.

The Arunachal Pradesh legislative Assembly comprises 60 members. In the previous election held in April 2019, the Bharatiya Janata Party emerged victorious, resulting in Pema Khandu assuming the position of Chief Minister.

Presently, the BJP holds the majority in the Arunachal Pradesh Assembly with 41 seats, representing 11 constituencies, along with three BJP candidates who secured their positions unopposed. The remainder is divided among the Janata Dal (United), the National People’s Party (NPP), Congress, and the People’s Party of Arunachal (PPA).
