A customer name Nitin Arora has tweeted an image that shows a live rat being trapped in a bread packet delivered by Blinkit – formerly known as Grofers – a last-minute app.

The startup company assures delivery of everyday online groceries in just a blink with an average delivery time of less than 15 minutes.

The customer mocked the company using a viral Blinkit-Zomato template and wrote, “Bread mangoge to chuha milega (If you ask bread, you will get mice)”. Besides, he also shared a screenshot complaint registered with the Blinkit team on app, to which they reply about being apologetic.

Arora’s post has gone viral and received a lot of support from Twitter users, who have demanded Blinkit to take stringent actions on it.

The bread packet belonged to the English Owen bakery as per the packaging logo, the image shows.

"Most unpleasant experience with @letsblinkit, where alive rat was delivered inside the bread packet ordered on 1.2.23. This is alarming for all of us. If 10 minutes delivery has such baggage, @blinkitcares I would rather wait for a few hours than take such items.#blinkit #zomato," Nitin Arora tweeted.

The company through its Twitter handle Blinkitcares replied to the post and apologized to Nitin Arora for having a bad experience due to the incident.

Another user named Arjun commented, “Same issue with me I received the rotten good from Blinkit and not getting any support from customer service then I decided to visit there store where they dispatch the orders no wonder it rat was found in a packet the store was totally messed and full of insects and garbage.”
