World Sleep Society mentioned, "World Sleep Day is an opportunity to promote sleep health alongside thousands of other sleep health professionals and advocates. When we all promote sleep health and #WorldSleepDay together, our combined effort is greater than the sum of its parts. Spread the word about sleep health on World Sleep Day, and help elevate the conversation around sleep."

"Sleep deprivation is a silent epidemic and can have negative impacts on health, businesses and economies. The consequences of neglecting it can welcome an increased risk of non-communicable diseases such as diabetes, obesity and heart conditions," Dr Sangita Reddy, joint MD, Apollo Hospitals Group, said.

Vikram Thaploo, CEO, HealthNet Global, said, Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is one of the most prevalent diseases in the world. Around 1 billion people worldwide experience OSA and up to 80 per cent of those who have sleep apnea go untreated. Sleep apnea is a serious chronic condition that affects patients' quality of life and general health in addition to their ability to sleep".
