According to the official website of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nation, every year, a large number of events are organised in around 150 countries across the world to celebrate World Food Day. These events include marathons, hunger marches, exhibitions, cultural performances, contests, concerts and more.

World Food Day 2022: History
The annual celebration commemorates the founding in 1945 of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). FAO’s headquarters is in Rome.

This year's theme is Leave NO ONE behind. “In the face of a looming global food crisis, we need to harness the power of solidarity and collective momentum to build a better future where everyone has regular access to enough nutritious food,” FAO Director-General QU Dongyu said.
