As many as 20 trains of Northern Railway coming to and from the city were running late by an hour to 6.30 due to fog.

Due to fog and mist, people travelling in these trains are facing a lot of trouble.

Railways says it constantly tries to ensure that the timing of trains remains accurate. However, in this season, fog is disturbing the schedules of trains heavily.

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday issued an orange alert for New Delhi. The alert is for very dense fog and cold wave conditions for Wednesday and Thursday.

According to the IMD, the minimum temperature at the Safdarjang Observatory in the Capital was 5.7 degrees Celsius on Wednesday.
