Papmochani Ekadashi March 2023: Papmochani Ekadashi falls between Holika Dahan and Chaitra Navratri. Papmochani Ekadashi is also the last Ekadashi in the Hindu Calendar. During the Krishna Paksha of Chaitra month in the North Indian Purnimant calendar and the Krishna Paksha of Phalguna month in the South Indian Amavasyant calendar, Papmochani Ekadashi is observed. However, both North and South Indians celebrate it on the same day. In the English calendar, it is currently in the month of March.

Papmochani is the combination of two words, Paap and Mochani. Paap means sin, and Mochani means the remover of sins. Devotees worship Lord Vishnu by performing Vishnu Puja and fasting on the day of Papmochani Ekadashi Vrat or fast. According to beliefs, fasting helps devotees to live peaceful life and to get rid of the guilt for past mistakes.

Papmochani Ekadashi will begin at 2:06 PM on March 17, 2023, and will end at 11:13 AM on March 18, 2023. 

On March 19, Devotees will break the fast which is also known as Parana between 6:27 AM to 8:07 AM. Ekadashi Parana is done after sunrise on the next day of the Ekadashi fast.

On Papmochani Ekadashi devotees follow the given ritual 

-Fast for the entire day of Papmochani Ekadashi.

-Worship Lord Vishnu by reciting Mantras and singing Bhajans to him.

-Recite the mantra to ensure their safety while fasting.
