Five planets visible: In the last week of March, sky gazers are likely to witness another cosmic spectacle. As per a report by Fox News, five planets — Mercury, Uranus, Venus, Jupiter and Mars — including the moon, would be visible like an arc form on March 28 after sunset. As per various international media reports, this is a rare astronomical event.

According to Starwalk reports, several more planetary alignments will be visible from Earth in 2023.

  • April 11: An alignment in the 35 degree angle of the sky of Mercury, Uranus, Venus and Mars in the evening
  • April 24: A small alignment in the 40-degree angle of the sky of Mercury, Uranus, Venus, and Mars in the evening
  • May 29: A minor alignment in the 70-degree angle of the sky of Uranus, Mercury, Jupiter, and Saturn in the morning
  • June 17: The morning grand alignment in the 95-degree sector of the sky of Mercury, Uranus, Jupiter, Neptune, and Saturn
  • July 26: The evening mini-alignment of Mercury, Venus, and Mars, in the 15-degree angle of the sky,
  • August 24: At sunset, a mini-alignment at 175 degrees of the sky of Mercury and Mars and rising Saturn

Jupiter and Venus were aligned with the moon and were inching closer to one another through the month of February.

As per NASA, the conjunction between the planet in the solar system occurs frequently because "the planets orbit around the Sun in approximately the same plane - the ecliptic plane - and thus trace similar paths across our sky."
