The puja is always done during the evening time (after the fast).

  • Before preparing for the puja, devotees start the day early with a bath. 
  • After this, a lamp is lit before the idols of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati
  • Devotees apply a tilak and offer sweets to the idol of Goddess Parvati.  
  • In the evening at the time of Gaudhooli, devotees recite Shiva Chalisa and perform aarti. 
  • Devotees can break their fast in the evening with Sattvika food.
