Jaya Ekadashi February 2023: Significance

Ekadashi is a very auspicious and significant day in the Hindu calendar. The Jaya Ekadashi fast is believed to cleanse a person's sins. Jaya Ekadashi is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. It is also auspicious for worshipping Lord Shiva as it falls in the month of Magh. The end of the Ekadashi fast is marked by Parana. On Ekadashi day, parana is completed after daybreak.

Jaya Ekadashi February 2023: Date and Time

This year Jaya Ekadashi will be observed on February 1, 2023. According to Drik Panchang, the Ekadashi Tithi will begin at 11:53 AM on January 31 and end at 02:01 PM on February 1, 2023. On February 1, 2023, the Parana time will be 07:10 AM to 09:20 AM.

Ekadashi February 2023:  Puja Rituals

1. On the occasion of Jaya Ekadashi, devotees observe a day-long fast during which they refrain from eating or drinking anything.

2. Devotees should wash the place of worship with Gangajal or pure water.

3. As soon as the idol is set up, worship rituals must begin.

4. Chant the Narayan Stotra, the Vishnu Sahasranama, and the Lord Krishna's bhajans as you worship.

5. Offer prasad, flowers, coconut, water, basil, fruits, and incense sticks.

6. Chants should be recited while performing puja.

7. After feeding the Brahmins on Dwadashi, offer them 'janeu' (holy thread) and betel nuts. One should eat only after completing this Jaya Ekadashi ritual.
