Chandra Grahan 2022: How to watch

The fantastic otherworldly spectacle can be witnessed without any expensive equipment. Simply glance up at the sky if it's clear to find the moon at night. Even those living in cities will have excellent views of the eclipse. Darker skies are better for catching the intricacies of the moon's colour change. People can use binoculars or a telescope to see the event. With the right equipment, viewers should be able to see the moon's craters, valleys, and mountains turn a scarlet colour as the Earth's shadow passes over them.

Unlike solar eclipses, which require special glasses to view and can only be seen for a few short minutes in a very limited area, a total lunar eclipse can be seen by anyone.
