The third season of the business reality show Shark Tank India, an Indian adaptation of the popular US show ‘Shark Tank’, is going to premiere soon on Sony TV channel. This show serves as a unique platform for aspiring inventors and entrepreneurs to present their groundbreaking ideas to a group of successful business tycoons, referred to as 'sharks', and potentially secure significant investment.

The first two seasons spotlighted a diverse group of judges, each bringing their unique experiences and insights.  

Successful entrepreneurs like Anupam Mittal of Shaadi.com, boAt's Aman Gupta, Vineeta Singh of SUGAR Cosmetics, Emcure Pharmaceuticals' Namita Thapar, Mamaearth's Ghazal Alagh, Lenskart's Peyush Bansal, and Amit Jain of CarDekho featured as the Sharks in the last two seasons.

The names of the sharks for the upcoming season are yet to be announced. 

Over the course of its run, the show has been hosted by two different TV personalities. Season one was helmed by Rannvijay Singha while comedian Rahul Dua hosted the second season. The makers of the show are yet to reveal the name of the host for the much awaited third season.

Funding on Shark Tank India  

'Shark Tank India' has been instrumental in nurturing the country's budding startup ecosystem, contributing to the appeal and excitement of entrepreneurship for many. The inaugural season alone witnessed the sharks investing over Rs 42 crore in 67 startups and another Rs 81 crore invested in the second season. Nevertheless, the show has not been immune to controversy, with allegations of delays in the disbursement of pledged funds to several entrepreneurs.

Registration is open for Shark Tank India Season 3

Sony Entertainment Television recently launched the promotional campaign for the third season of the show and started accepting online registrations. Applicants can register through the Sony Liv App or the show's official website, where they will need to complete an in-depth form with personal and business details, as well as record a three-minute pitch video. The application process requires supporting documents such as Aadhar Card, PAN Card, business particulars, company registration, and P&L statement.

While the premiere date for the third season is still under wraps, the show's track record of fostering business innovation and accelerating startups' growth fuel high expectations. As with previous seasons, the show will be aired on Sony Entertainment Television and also be streaming on the SonyLiv app.
