The domestic box office performance of the movie on the first day of its release (February 24) was even worse than the first-day collection of Kartik Aaryan's Shehzada, which was released on February 17.

The film only earned Rs 2.55 crore on its opening day, according to the film critic. This was one of the lowest starts for a film that has several prominent names attached to it, he added.

Whereas, Aaryan's film earned Rs 6 crore on its first day of release.

"#Selfiee has a disastrous Day 1… Sends shock waves throughout the industry… One of the lowest starts for a film that has several prominent names attached to it… Fri ₹ 2.55 cr+. #India biz," Adarsh tweeted.
