Sanjay Dutt: Best performances

In a career that spans over four decades, Sanjay Dutt has worked in a number of successful and memorable films. Here, we bring you a few of his best performances that are an all-time fan favourite.

Khalnayak

Sanjay Dutt impressed the audience with his intense acting and, of course, his look. The Subhash Ghai directorial was a major hit back in 1993, taking Dutt to the heights of success. The songs from the films were also big hits.

Vaastav: The Reality

Counted among the best films of his career, Vaastav got Sanjay Dutt a major transformation, becoming the intimidating Raghu Bhai. The Mahesh Manjrekar directorial also had actors like Namrata Shirodkar, Sanjay Narvekar, Mohnish Behl, Paresh Rawal, Reema Lagoo, and Shivaji Satam in prominent roles. Dutt's realistic acting and his critically acclaimed character got him the Best Actor Award at the Filmfare Awards.

Munna Bhai M.B.B.S

After working in a number of serious and a few romantic movies, Sanjay Dutt went a bit offroad and tried his hands at comedy with Rajkumar Hirani's comedy-drama film Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. His tapori style and witty style of humour got clicked with the audience and the film received all the love in theatres. The duo of Munna and Circuit were unbeatable as fans loved them. The film also got a sequel, which also turned out to be a big hit.

Agneepath (2012)

A remake of a 1990 film of the same name, featuring the legendary Amitabh Bachchan, while Hrithik Roshan was the protagonist, it was Sanjay Dutt's 'Kancha Cheena' that got all the attention. A ruthless and brutal drug kingpin, Sanjay Dutt portrayed the role quite efficiently and his role indeed left a powerful impact on the audience. His hideous expressions and dialogues reflecting wickedness made his character memorable.

K.G.F: Chapter 2 (2022)

Sanjay Dutt who is known for playing roles of different shades did it again with KGF 2 as he played the role of the wicked Adheera.

From undergoing rigorous physical training to shooting with heavy armour, the actor proved his mettle in this film, especially at a time when he had just recovered from cancer.
