With Pathaan, SRK made his comeback on the screens after a break of four years. Siddharth Anand’s directorial action-thriller Pathaan has stormed the box office charts for more than a month after its release on January 25.

Pathaan movie crossed 1,000 crore gross worldwide box office and collected a 1.25 crore estimate on the 42nd day. Pathaan has even surpassed Baahubali 2’s Hindi net box office collection. Its box office collection jumped in a major way to more than Rs 1 crore again on Tuesday, as many went to watch the movie with family and friends on the day of Holi.

Overall collections of the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer has managed to reach nearly Rs 540 crores and the Hindi version stands at around 518 crore. Between today and tomorrow, around 2 crores more would come in and that should help the film cross 520 crores before it gears up to enter the seventh weekend.

Pathaan’s smashing box office run domestically and globally has managed to somewhat revive the languishing Hindi film industry on a global level. Bollywood had been able to deliver only a handful of hits in the last couple of years, including the sequels Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Drishyam 2. The film is also significant because it marks the comeback of Shah Rukh Khan to acting after a gap of over four years. Khan had taken a sabbatical after delivering box office duds like Jab Harry Met Sejal and Zero back-to-back.
