PNR Check On WhatsApp, Live Train Running Status On WhatsApp: In good news for Indian Railways passengers, a Mumbai-based startup Railofy has created a WhatsApp chatbot that allows passengers to check PNR status and real-time train trip details on the instant messaging application. To check PNR and live train running status on WhatsApp, passengers will have to enter the 10-digit PNR number in the chatbot developed by Railofy.

To check PNR status and live train tracking on WhatsApp: Save Railofy’s train enquiry number (+91-9881193322) in your smartphone’s contact list. Then, open WhatsApp and go into the chat window of the Railofy’s chatbot number. Type 10 digit PNR number in the chat window and tap on send.

Railofy chatbot will send details like PNR status, train status and alerts. The chatbot will now automatically keep on sending you the real-time status of the train on WhatsApp. Please note that you can also check train status by dialling 139 from your phone. However, the process is not only cumbersome, but is also not free from human error.

Meanwhile, on Thursday, a total of 176 trains including Mail, Express, Super Fast and Passenger have been cancelled today by Indian Railways due to several reasons across the country. 17 trains have been diverted while 23 have been rescheduled.  All the passengers who have booked tickets on these trains, now cancelled, stand cancelled automatically. The ticket amount will get refunded to the user's account. Passengers who have booked tickets through counters will have to visit the reservation counter to claim the refund. 

Among the cancelled trains are those operating between Punjab, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Chhattisgarh among others. Railways has requested passengers to check train details by visiting https://enquiry.indianrail.gov.in/mntes or NTES app before planning their trip.
