Redmi Smart Fire TV 4K 108cm review: Design

There is nothing much to talk about the design of the Redmi Smart Fire TV 4K 108cm. It has thin metal bezels, except for the bottom which has the Redmi logo at the centre and the FireTV badge at the lower right corner. The good thing is that these badges are small and therefore won't distract you much.

While there was a lot of scope to make this 43-inch TV more appealing, there are definitely people who will love this minimalistic design. People in my house too have a divided opinion on this. No matter what, this is a sleek TV and doesn't take up much space when mounted on a wall — something that matters a lot to most of us.

Redmi Smart Fire TV 4K 108cm review: Display and Sound

The visual experience offered by this LED smart TV is definitely one of the best in this price range. The 4K content on this TV simply offers close to real-life visual experience. The colours are quite punchy with a good dynamic range and make content consumption quite fun.

The visual output of this is complemented by a 24W speaker system with support for Dolby Audio. It also supports DTS: Virtual X and DTS-HD. It gets loud enough for a decent-sized living room where a lot of people gather to watch a movie, or a big bedroom where you want to enjoy your favourite show.

Redmi Smart Fire TV 4K 108cm review: Connectivity

In terms of connectivity, the smart TV supports dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, optical port and comes with 3 HDMI ports, 2 USB ports and an AV and earphone port. So you are pretty sorted when it comes to connectivity options.

Redmi Smart Fire TV 4K 108cm review: OS and Performance

The Fire TV OS on this device is very responsive and the layout is quite simple which makes using the TV very easy for people of all age groups. Finding your favourite app is simple and things become easier thanks to the remote. Shortcut to popular apps is really helpful and a dedicated Alexa button makes life easier. While voice commands were most of the time spot on, at times I felt that Alexa could have been more responsive. However, the overall experience was satisfactory.

It supports almost all third-party OTT apps, and, in case you want to add some more applications, there is 16GB of internal storage available. Redmi Smart Fire TV 4K 108cm comes with 2GB of RAM. While it is sufficient for handling all tasks, Redmi should think about enhancing this. However, the configuration is perfect for price-conscious people.

Redmi Smart Fire TV 4K 108cm review: Additional Feature

Redmi Smart Fire TV 4K 108cm has a very interesting feature - Picture-in-Picture. While I didn't get the opportunity to test it personally, but did get an opportunity to see how useful this feature is. This feature lets you view feeds from Alexa-compatible security cameras on the TV in full screen or Picture-in-Picture on top of their content. This feature really is one of the reasons to buy this smart TV.

Redmi Smart Fire TV 4K 108cm review:  Verdict

Redmi Smart Fire TV 4K 108cm or 43-inch is one of the best options for those who want to enjoy 4K content without burning a hole in their pocket. It offers very good visual quality and a decent audio experience. Moreover, features like Picture-in-Picture make it a great value-for-money product.
