The Infinix Smart 8 is available in only one RAM and memory variant of 4GB + 64GB. While RAM is expandable up to 8 GB, users can expand storage up to 2TB with a microSD card. The smartphone is available in four colours - Rainbow Blue, Shiny Gold, Timber Black and Galaxy White. Here we are using the first one as a review unit. The smartphone is priced at Rs 7,499 but can be brought at Rs 6,749 with offers.

Infinix Smart 8 Review: Inside the Box

The retail box contains the smartphone, Type-A to Type-C charging cable, a charging brick, a transparent hard case, a SIM-eject pin and user manuals.

Infinix Smart 8 Review: Design

The Infinix Smart 8 has a timber texture design and does not attract fingerprints and smudges easily. The colour-matched frame enhances the overall look of the smartphone. Also, the rear camera module is stylish. The use of Polymethyl methacrylate or PMMA makes the device light as it weighs around 189 grams and is 8.5 mm thick. The smartphone feels comfortable while holding in the hand.

The smartphone has both a side fingerprint sensor and a face unlock feature. They both are fast and face unlock works well even in low-light conditions.

Infinix Smart 8 Review: Display

The Infinix Smart 8 has a 6.6-inch HD+ punch-hole display that supports a 90Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 500nits. Also, the display comes with NEG glass protection. It has quite noticeable bezels at the chin and offers a screen-to-body ratio of 90.8 per cent.

The display feels smooth and bright enough for indoor. It produces decent colours and volume is also high enough for content consumption. However, the viewing angles could have been better.

The Magic Ring is something that comes in handy at times as it shows information like battery percentage and phone call duration.

Infinix Smart 8 Review: Performance and Software

The Infinix Smart 8 is powered by Mediatek Helio G36 chipset paired with 4GB LPDDR4X RAM. The smartphone stutters when trying to open more than a couple of apps simultaneously. The smartphone runs on XOS 13 based on Android 13 Go and offers a user-friendly interface. However, the problem related to bloatware remains the same.

Infinix Smart 8 Review: Battery and Charging

The device is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery that can easily last for an entire day but 10W charging takes a lot of time to juice up the device.

Infinix Smart 8 Review: Camera

The Infinix Smart 8 comes with a dual camera setup at the rear with a primary camera of 50MP. For selfies, it has an 8MP camera. The rear camera clicks decent images but without too many details. The selfie camera could have been better. But you cannot complain much as this is an affordable smartphone priced under Rs 7,000.

Infinix Smart 8 Review: Verdict

If you are looking for a stylish yet affordable smartphone, Infinix Smart 8 is for you. The overall performance of the smartphone considering the price tag is satisfactory. However, charging is quite slow and the selfie camera is average.
