Xiaomi is coming up with a grand sale later today at 12:00 pm wherein two of its popular brands - Redmi Y2 and Redmi 5A - will be available at discounted prices. The Xiaomi Redmi Y2 will be available through company’s own store mi.com, while the Redmi 5A will be up via online retail partner Flipkart.

The Redmi Y2 comes in two variants. The one with 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage will be priced at Rs 9,999, and another variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage retailing will be available at Rs 12,999. Consumers can avail  ‘Airtel’s Extra Data offer’ that includes Rs 1,800 instant cashback, and up to 240GB free data. Besides, Xiaomi is offering a free three-month subscription of Hungama Music on Redmi Y2.

The Xiaomi Redmi 5A comes in two variants – 2GB+16GB at Rs 5,999 and 3GB+32GB at Rs 6,999. The Flipkart will be giving an extra 5 per cent cash back offer for Axis Bank Buzz Credit Card users.

Redmi Y2

The Redmi Y2 boasts of a 5.99-inch HD+ (720 x 1440 pixels) display with an aspect ratio of 18:9, and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset with octa-core Cortex-A53 CPUs and Adreno 506 GPU. The smartphone includes 3/4GB of RAM and 32/64GB of internal storage.
 
On the camera front, Redmi Y2 has a dual rear setup- 12-megapixel primary lens with f/2.2 aperture, PDAF + 5-megapixel secondary lens. The cameras include gyro-EIS, LED flash and shoots HD video at 30 frames per second. The front-facing camera is a 16-megapixel lens and comes with LED flash.

Redmi 5A

It is the cheapest device from Xiaomi but boasts of excellent specifications. Redmi 5A features a 5-inch HD display and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 SoC. The phone comes in two variants with 2GB/3GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB of internal storage.

Redmi 5A is running Android Nougat-based MIUI 9 ROM. The phone is powered with 3000mAh battery and comes with a single 13MP shooter on the rear followed by a single 5MP shooter on the front.
