The China-based Xiaomi has once again offered its low-budget smartphones, Redmi Y1 and the Redmi Y1 lite, for sale in India on Mi.com and amazon.in.
 
Redmi Y1 Lite which comes with 2GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage is priced at Rs 6,999.
 
While the Redmi Y1 has two different prices; one is offered at Rs 8,999 having 3GB RAM with 32 GB internal storage and the other one at Rs 10,999 featuring 4GB RAM with 64 GB internal storage.
 
Users of Redmi Y1 Lite can expand their memory up to 128 GB via microSD card, while the Redmi Y1 can be expandable up to 280GB of additional 4G data.
 
They may also get a free subscription to Hungama Music and Hungama Play for 12 months and 3 months respectively.
 
The latest phones by Xiaomi is an attempt by the Chinese smartphone company to take on selfie-centric smartphones of Oppo F3 and others.
 
Xiaomi Redmi Y1 Lite comes with a 5.50-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 720 pixels by 1280 pixels. It is powered by 1.4GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor and has 13-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 5-megapixel front shooter for selfies.
 
While Redmi Y1 comes with 5.50-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 720 pixels by 1280 pixels. It is  powered by 1.4GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor and has 13-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 16-megapixel front shooter for selfies.
 
Both Redmi Y1 and Y1 Lite are dual sim smartphone and runs on Android 7.0 and has 3080mAh non-removable battery.
 
They have similar connectivity options like Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, Infrared, USB OTG, FM, 3G and 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India).
 
Sensors such as Compass Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor and Gyroscope are also available.
