Xiaomi is expected to launch the Redmi Note 4 in India on January 19. The company has sent out invitations to the media for its product launch event on January 19. However, Xiaomi did not mention it was the Redmi Note 4 and just mentioned product launch.

However, the product it will be launching is expected to be the Redmi Note 4, which has been widely anticipated following the success of the Redmi Note 3 in India. It was the highest selling smartphone from not only Xiaomi, but also one of the highest selling smartphones in India in 2016.

The Redmi Note 4 has already been launched in China in August 2016. There are significant changes added to the new model of the Redmi Note.

It is available in two variants, ie the 2GB RAM with 16GB internal storage which is priced in China at CNY 899 (about Rs 9,000) and the 3GB RAM with 64GB internal storage priced at CNY 1,199 (about Rs 12,000). While it is not known what the company will price it in India, it could price at the same range as in China.

The Redmi Note 4 runs on MIUI 8 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and has a 5.5 inch full-HD curve glass display. The smartphone is powered by a deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 coupled with Mali-T880 MP4 GPU.

Besides this, it has a finger print scanner and an infrared sensor. It also comes with 4G with VoLTE, Bluetooth, GPS, Micro-USB. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is powered by a 4100 mAh battery.
