Redmi Note 7 Pro, which made its global debut in India last month, is set to be launched in China on March 18. And, the company might introduce a new product on the same day - most probably Redmi 7. The smartphone has been leaked several times on various social media platforms and this time, Redmi President Lu Weibing has confirmed via a Weibo post that the company is preparing to launch a new product alongside the Redmi Note 7 Pro on March 18. Even though he did not reveal the name of the product, it is likely to be Redmi 7.

In another video shared on the same platform, he is seen asking the users to tell him what they expect of Redmi 7. Earlier, he had shared a post saying that he is expecting "tremendous response" for the Redmi 7. He had said that the company "must prepare a large amount of stock." 

Xiaomi CEO also re-shared the pricing post of the Redmi 7 that he posted back in January. Redmi 7 price in China is expected to be between 700 Yuan and 800 Yuan.

The smartphone is expected to come with 3.5mm headphone jack and an infrared blaster which is also there in the Redmi Note 7 series phones. It will be powered by a large 4000 mAh battery. It is expected to feature dot drop notch, rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, dual rear cameras and more.

As per the information available on TENAA listing, Redmi 7 will have a 6.26-inch LCD display with 1520 x 720 pixels resolution and aspect ratio of 19:9. It will be powered by an octa-core processor paired with up to 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage.

The listing mentions that the phone would come in three variants: 2GB RAM/ 16GB storage, 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage, and 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage. It is expected to have a 12MP primary camera at the back and an 8MP selfie shooter on the front. The phone is expected to come with Android 9 Pie based on MIUI 10.
