The bulb features a cross-pattern exterior. Its outer filter is made up of transparent light diffusing material, along with plastic covered aluminium structure, which ensures that the bulb dissipates heat and light. The structure also ensures that the bulb lasts longer and is safe for use.

With a temperature range of 1700K-6500K, one can adjust the colour temperature of the bulb, according to his/her mood and needs. The lower temperature will give out a yellow, warm atmosphere. Moreover, it also has 80 to 800 lumens range of brightness. Additionally, the bulb also comes with sunset and sunrise modes.

The Mi LED Smart Bulb sports the voice control, which allows one to switch on the bulb with voice recognition, with the bulb synced to either Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant support.

This smart bulb can be controlled with a smartphone with the help of WiFi module. This will help the user know if they have shut out the lights or not. If not, then they can do that even while being outside and save electricity as well as money.  "The Mi LED Smart Bulb is able to connect to your Wi-Fi network with its built-in Wi-Fi module so you can easily control it from your smartphone at any time, from anywhere," says Xiaomi website.

Xiaomi says the smart bulb is "highly energy efficient". It "needs just 10W to shine at 800 lumens and has a lifespan of up to 25000 hours. That means with 3 hours per day of use, the bulb can last up to 22.8 years."
