Xiaomi Mi A1 users now can get Android 9 Pie with FM Radio app, other features; here is how to upgrade

Android 9 Pie is now available on Mi A1 via OTA on Xiaomi Mi A1 smartphones via OTA. The users can now download Android 9 Pie and enjoy a more tailored experience as it adapts to you, learning your preferences. It is smarter, faster and adaptive, as it harnesses the power of artificial intelligence.

The Chinese smartphone maker said on its website that it will soon release the download links. However, users can update their handset from setting.

How to update to Android 9 Pie:
Mi A1 users have to go to settings - system - system update to check for Android 9 Pie update (V10.0.3.0.PDHMIFK). If you did not receive the Pie update this time. The system will also notify you when the update is available.

Android 9 Pie features:
FM Radio
You can now enjoy the Local FM stations on Mi A1 with the FM Radio app.

Android 9 Pie helps save battery, as it learns how you like to use your phone and make sure that apps and services you don’t use as much aren’t a battery drain.

Set daily time limits. App Timers let you know when you’re getting close to your set limits. App icons gray out when you reach those limits to help remind you of your goals.

Wind Down & Do Not Disturb:
Disconnect when you want. You can activate Do Not Disturb anytime you want to disconnect.
