Xiaomi on Friday has launched a new smart cleaning solution or basically a ‘smart vacuum cleaner’ in India. The Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop P robovac is a robot vacuum cleaner which can clean and mop your floor. The new gadget is listed on Xiaomi’s official website at a price of Rs 17,999. The robovac will start shipping to Indian consumers from September 15. Xiaomi will also offer no cost EMI options starting at Rs 2,999 per month.

Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop P is an intelligent home cleaning device equipped with 12 different multi-directional sensors and a dedicated Laser Distance Sensor (LDS) navigation system that can scan complex environments accurately and avoid obstacles during the cleaning process. It features the Laser Distance Sensor (LDS) and can scan a surrounding in 360° with an 8-meter range up to six times per second. The sampling rate is up to 2016 times per second with an accuracy deviation of less than 2%.

Xiaomi launched this robovac last August in China.It can initiate sweeping and mopping together, or sweeping-only mode and mopping-only mode. The robovac also has a Japanese brushless motor that has a 2,100Pa suction.

The vacuum cleaner has built-in Wi-Fi capability and can connect to the Mi Home app to provide better control options. Users can view the virtual map that the vacuum "sees”. Users can also set automated cleaning schedules and give one a view of the cleaning history. Using the app it is possible to even schedule the cleaning of a particular partition at any specific time.
