Xiaomi did not bring the Chinese variant of Redmi Note 7 to India to reduce the cost of the smartphone. It carried out the modification and changes in the smartphone's features in India itself.

Xiaomi has already started making a lot of noise prior to its smartphone launch in China. The smartphone company is giving away Redmi Note 7 Pro for free to 100 Mi fans in Mainland China. This offer is not applicable to Xiaomi's Indian customers.

Chinese Xiaomi fans interested in grabbing one of the free Redmi Note 7 Pro have to do the following:

1. Log in to their Mi account and send a message to Xiaomi, telling them they are interested in participating in the competition.

2. The fans need to fill in their details like name, gender, mobile number, email address, Weibo account user name, Mi account user name to name a few.

3. Xiaomi also requires fans to reveal the number of followers they have on respective social media profiles. Chances are high that the fan with more followers will get the free Redmi Note 7 Pro.

Meanwhile, Indian customers need not be disheartened. Redmi Note 7 Pro is going to hit the market on March 13th on Flipkart, Mi.com and Mi Home stores.

The sale begins at 12 noon. Redmi Note Pro 7 is available in two variants - 3GB RAM/64GB model for Rs 13,999 and the 6GB RAM/128GB model for Rs 16,999.
