Xiaomi has added another weapon to its already impressive arsenal in India with the launch of Black Shark 2 smartphone on Monday. The gaming smartphone had made its debut in China in March and will start selling in India from June 4. The smartphone comes with an impressive line-up of features that include Qualcomm's Snapdragon 855 SOC, up to 12GB RAM and a dual rear camera module with 48MP primary sensor. It also has a Liquid Cool 3.0 liquid-cooling technology to increase heat dissipation and will be available on e-commerce giant Flipkart from the mentioned date.

The smartphone has been launched in two storage variants in India. The Xiaomi Black Shark 2 price in India has been set at Rs 39,999 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB variant, while its top-of-the-line variant with 12GB RAM + 256GB storage comes with a price tag of Rs 49,999. It has been launched in two colour variants - Shadow Black and Frozen Silver.

The dual-SIM (Nano) Xiaomi Black Shark 2 comes with a 6.39-inch full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) AMOLED display along with TrueView Display support, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, and 403ppi of pixel density. For a superior gaming experience, the smartphone has been powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC, paired with Adreno 640 GPU and up to 12GB RAM. The Liquid Cool 3.0 technology claims to increase heat dissipation by 20 times, resulting in a better gaming experience. 

Black Shark 2 has an impressive camera setup for a gaming smartphone. It comes with a dual rear camera setup that comprises a 48-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.75 lens and a 12-megapixel secondary sensor with an f/2.2 lens. On the front, it has a 20MP selfie shooter with an f/2.0 lens on top.

For connectivity, the smartphone comes with 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, and USB Type-C port. The device is powered by a 4,000mAh battery.
