Why are these banned apps still reaching children?
Priyank Kanoongo said that China and other countries like China are engaged in inciting violent activity in the minds of Indian children through games.
Pubg is banned in India. But in the Asian Games held in China, PUBG was included in the category of e-sports. We have urged the government as well as the Indian Olympic Association to look into this matter and tell their stand regarding e-sports, he added.

Game of skill or game of chance- Which game should be regulated?
NCPCR Chairman said all the games that reach children should be regulated, be it the game of skill or the game of chance. He further said there is no such mechanism in India to find out which internet or SIM children are using because that SIM is allotted to people above 18 years of age in the country. He suggested that the government needs to start giving connections in the name of the children with limited access - eg time limit, site access limit, game access limit etc.

How to curb skill games in India that make a child addicted to violence?
Kanungo said there is a strict need for a regulatory mechanism in the country. Without it, we are putting our children in danger, he added.

It is said that e-games are the new future and also give a boost to the economy. In such a situation, will banning e-gaming not affect the economy?
He said we never say to completely ban all the e-games. In fact, we are saying that the government needs to create a regulatory authority that takes care of what kind of games are accessible to children.

What is your appeal in the letter to the government?
He said that we have requested the government on two things, First, even after the PUBG is banned in the country, the children are getting access, restrict it, and find out where the loopholes are. Second, we should be given a list of games that are permitted in India.
