Here comes a good news to the WhatsApp users! Now an Android user can share their status updates directly to Facebook Stories. This feature is similar to the option to share Instagram stories to Facebook. Now, WhatsApp has joined the duo with the same feature where you can share your status updates directly to Facebook Stories. Earlier, In June this year, the selected WhatsApp users in Android beta program were given the access to the feature, and now the feature is finally available to the latest stable version of WhatsApp.

Steps to share WhatsApp Status as Facebook Stories:

1. Open WhatsApp and go to ‘My Status’

2. Tap on the Hamburger icon next to the Status you want to share to Facebook

3. You will get the option which says, ‘Share to Facebook’, Click on it

4. You will see your Facebook profile picture at the bottom with your default privacy setting

5. Click on ‘Share now’ option to share the Story

Also, you can change the Facebook story privacy settings directly from WhatsApp. You can choose the options to shre from Public, Friends and connections, Friends, or Custom.

Just like WhatsApp the Facebook Story will stay there for 24 hours. Even if you delete the original WhatsApp Status on the WhatsApp, the shared Facebook Story will stay on Facebook for 24 hours.

However, one should know that the WhatsApp update that carries a link will not be clickable on Facebook but appear only as a picture with text on Facebook status. Because Facebook captures the WhatsApp status image and then send that as Facebook story.
