WhatsApp has been working on several features to improve user experience. At least two of them could be rolled out soon for Android users. According to WhatsApp tracker WABetaInfo, the instant messaging platform is working on a feature that will allow messages in individual chats and groups to disappear after a specified period of time.

While the feature has been teased in the past too, it is now called Expiring Messages. Earlier, the feature was spotted as Disappearing Messages and Delete Messages. WhatsApp has also made a few changes to the feature.

According to the report, the feature will only be available for group administrators. This means that only the group admins will be able to determine if other group members will be able to share disappearing messages in the group. The group admin will also set the time duration within which the messages will disappear. The available options are one day, one week and one month.

Apart from this, WhatsApp is working on another feature that will allow users to open the same account on multiple smartphones. As of now, the users are logged out of the primary smartphone if they log in to another device.

The blog says that when a user adds their WhatsApp account on another device, the encryption key will change, which in turn will be notified within the chat. “Your security code with xxx T changed, because they logged in or out from multiple devices,” the message in the chat shows.

These changes are available in WhatsApp Beta for Android version in 2.20.110.
