The calls to boycott Chinese products in India and search for alternatives have grown ever since the clash between the soldiers of the two countries at LAC. However, that can change soon with the revival of Micromax India – a company that had reached massive heights in the past. The company has hinted at launching new smartphones in the country which will be made for the Indian customers.

The smartphone company has teased its launch on the social media channels before any official announcement. The latest development arrives in the middle of the ongoing anti-China sentiment which has reached new levels after the clashes at the Galwan Valley. Micromax had launched its iOne Note as its last smartphone in the country in October and has been listed online with a price tag of Rs 8,199.

Replying to a Twitter user, the company said that it is working on something big and an announcement will come sometime soon.

“Hi, Hitesh. Glad to see your support for #VocalForLocal. We are working hard internally and soon we will come up with something big. Stay tuned! #Micromax #MadeByIndian #MadeForIndian,” the tweet said.

The company is expected to launch three smartphones next month – all positioned in the sub-Rs 10,000 category.

In a separate tweet, the company mentioned a new device in the works and it comes with premium features which brings a "thoroughly modern look and budget-friendly" feel.

The company has not stated if it is manufacturing the models in India or outsourcing them.
