The latest smartphone in the Vivo Y-series, the Vivo Y12 has been officially launched in India. The Vivo Y12 comes with an artificial intelligence (AI) backed triple rear camera setup that includes a 13-megapixel primary sensor. The smartphone is available for purchase from all major offline stores of the country from June 20. It will come in two colour options Aqua Blue and Burgundy Red colour. The other highlights of the phone are 4GB RAM, dedicated Ultra Game Mode, and a 5,000mAh battery.

The Vivo Y12 has been launched in a single variant - 4GB RAM + 32GB storage. The Vivo Y12 price in India has been set at Rs 12,490. The smartphone manufacturer is expected to introduce another device - the Vivo Y15 soon. 

Vivo Y12 specs and features

The smartphone comes with a 6.35-inch HD+ (720x1544 pixels) Halo FullView LCD panel with a 19.3:9 aspect ratio and waterdrop-style notch. It is powered by octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 (MT6762) SoC, paired with 4GB of RAM. The phone runs Android 9 Pie with Funtouch OS 9. It has 2GB of internal storage.

For imaging, the Vivo Y12 has got a triple rear camera setup led by a 13-megapixel primary sensor assisted by 8-megapixel secondary sensor, and a 2-megapixel tertiary sensor - along with an LED flash. The camera supports Time-Lapse, Live Photos, HDR, Portrait Mode, Panorama, and Super Wide-Angle Camera, among others. On the front, the smartphone has a 8-megapixel camera for selfies. There is a fingerprint sensor at the back of the phone. It is powered by a 5,000mAh battery that is touted to work with preloaded power-saving technologies to deliver an extended usage on a single charge.

The connectivity options on the phone include 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, FM radio, Micro-USB port with USB OTG support, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
