vivo has launched its new budget smartphone - vivo U20 in India on Friday afternoon. This is the second 'U' series smartphone after vivo U10 which was launched before Diwali. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer had revealed most details about the smartphone ahead of the launch and has now announced the price as well. The biggest highlight of this smartphone is a massive 5000 mAh battery that comes with a 18W fast charger inside the box. The vivo U20 price in India starts at Rs 10,990. The base model is expected to be priced under Rs 10,000 when it becomes official later today.

vivo U20 features a 6.53-inch Full HD+ display, waterdrop notch and a smaller chin. It comes in a gradient finish and in colour options - black, blue and green. It has a screen-to-body ratio of 90.3 percent and will support Widevine L1 certification. This means that you can stream content in HD from all platforms.

The vivo U20 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor unlike the vivo U10 which had Snapdragon 665 processor. The new chipset is claimed to be faster and gives better imaging results. The smartphone comes in two RAM options - 4GB RAM + 64 GB of internal storage priced at Rs 10,990 and 6GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage priced at Rs 11,990. The smartphone will go on sale through Amazon India starting 12 PM on November 28.

For optics, vivo U20 comes with a triple rear camera led by a 16-megapixel primary lens. On the front, you get a 16-megapixel selfie shooter.

The company calls Vivo U20 as the "fastest smartphone with 5,000mAh battery". It claims that the smartphone can last for 273 hrs of standby time, 21 hrs of Instagram usage, 17 hrs of Facebook usage and 11 hrs of YouTube usage on single charge. The phone will come with a 5000 mAh battery along with 18W fast charging support.

Under the hood, there is Qualcomm Snapdragon 675, which could make it the cheapest smartphone with this chipset. It is the same chipset found on Redmi Note 7 Pro and Vivo V17 Pro. There will be up to 6GB RAM and 128GB storage and it supports UFS 2.1 storage. For imaging, there is triple rear camera setup with a 16-megapixel main shooter. The selfie camera is also likely to come with a 16-megapixel sensor. The Vivo U20 also packs a 5,000mAh battery and supports 18W fast charging.
