The new “Lights Out” mode uses a pure black colour palette that omits no light. According to Fortune, the mode can potentially help with saving battery and suggests it as a good option for people who want to use a darker mode than Twitter’s earlier offering for low lit environments.

You can find this new light out toggle button in the setting menu of the twitter app and it can only be used with the present Dark Mode available in the app. The new feature is available only for IOS now. Soon, it is expected to be available for Android and Desktop as well.

Reportedly, Twitter also announced a new Automatic Dark Mode options for iOS users. This feature will allow users to choose to have their device automatically switch from light to the dark mode theme of their choice according to their timezone.

Both the features, the lights out mode and automatic dark mode feature, are now available in the newest version of the Twitter app for iOS.
