After a long wait, courtesy – coronavirus, Xiaomi has launched its camera heavy and first 5G smartphone in the Indian market – Mi 10. This is company’s first and only second smartphone after Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra to feature a 108-megapixel camera for photography. The smartphone was initially planned to be launched in the last week of March but was delayed due to nation-wide lockdown. The company unveiled the product during an online event on Friday afternoon.

Xiaomi Mi 10 price in India

Xiaomi Mi 10 price in India has been set at Rs Rs 49,999 for the 8GB RAM and 128 GB storage variant. The 256G storage variant will be priced at Rs 54,999. To recall, the Mi 10 was launched in China with a starting price of CNY 3,999 (roughly Rs. 42,800). The phone will be available in Coral Green and Twilight Grey colour options. 

The customers who buy the phone during the pre-booking period will get a Mi powerbank free. 

Xiaomi Mi 10 specs and features

The device features a massive 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with a FullHD+ resolution which also has curved edges. The display gets a higher 90Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 which gives it 5G connectivity. Mi 10 comes with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage.

The biggest highlight of the phone is its 108MP primary lens in a quad-camera setup. The other three lenses are a 13MP wide-angle lens sensor and a pair of 2MP sensors for portrait and macro shots. The front camera is a 20MP unit and is housed in a punch hole on the screen.

Mi Box 4K, Mi True Wireless Earphones 2 Launched

Apart from the flagship-level smartphone, Xiaomi has also launched two more devices. The Mi Box is a smart set-top box which will give competition to Amazon's Fire TV Stick and Google's Chromecast. Meanwhile, Mi True Wireless Earphones 2 are company’s first wireless earphones in the country.
