Sony has expanded its soundbar portfolio in India with the launch of Sony HT-G700 soundbar on Wednesday. With the latest product, Sony aims to meet the high demand for home-audio video products, following the COVID-19 situation. The 3.1ch soundbar has support for Dolby Atmos and DTS:X and claims to bring cinematic-audio environment to home entertainment set up.

The HT-G700 comes with a wireless subwoofer with a larger cabinet size that delivers a deeper, richer bass sound. The HT-G700 delivers 400W power output with 7.1.2 surround sound to deliver a theatre like immersive audio experience.   

The soundbar uses Immersive Audio Enhancement and Sony’s unique Digital Signal Processing technology, which provides an upgraded surround experience. There is also a Vertical Sound Engine which helps reproduce "vertical" audio, recreating the feel that you are surrounded by speakers. 

The connectivity options include HDMI in a separate HDMI ARC/eARC output, digital optical, and USB. The soundbar is coupled with a remote control which has dedicated buttons for different audio modes. The company claims that it allows you to get deeper into movies with Cinema mode and hear every detail of your favourite tracks in Music mode. Plus, there are additional Voice mode and Night mode settings.

The Sony HT-G700 soundbar price in India has been set at Rs 39,990. The HT-G700 soundbar is available across Sony retail stores (Sony Center and Sony Exclusive),  www.ShopatSC.com portal, major electronic stores and other e-commerce website in India from 29th July 2020 onwards. 

The customers can get an additional discount of Rs 2,000 if the soundbar is purchased along with any BRAVIA TV from 102 cm (40) and above.
