After Flipkart and Amazon, another major e-commerce platform, Snapdeal has announced its festive season sale. Called 'Kum Mein Dum', the Snapdeal Diwali sale will take place between October 16 and October 20. To prepare for the sale, Snapdeal asked its users to select products that they would like to purchase this Diwali. The “Kum Me Dum” sale selection is built around the choices indicated by more than 1.25 Lakh participants across 92 cities.

The company said that 42% of the users made choices relating to gadgets for daily use. Kitchenware was the second most popular choice with 38% of the users desiring maximum deals on them. Shoppers also suggested preference for home décor, gifting items and ethnic wear. 

The e-commerce platform says that it added over 10,000 sellers in the last three months to increase its inventory of value priced merchandise. The sale will offer attractive deals on a vast selection of products covering kitchenware, kitchen appliances, home furnishing, home improvement products, fashion apparel including sarees, kurtis, suits and kids wear and fashion accessories like watches and wallets etc. 

“Snapdeal’s focus this year is to offer a customised Diwali experience. That is why our Diwali sale selection is based on extensive users inputs. Through an expanded assortment and festive offers, our sellers have put together deals that will help buyers get more value for their spends this Diwali. We also have a special “Diwali@Home” selection that will cater to the unique needs of this year as users plan festivities in a safe environment,’ Snapdeal added. 

Snapdeal will also launch dedicated themed e-stores including Navratri, Karva Chauth, Dhanteras, among others to ease festive shopping. Shoppers will also have a chance to get additional discounts using HDFC, Bank of Baroda, and Ratnakar Bank cards. e-Wallet offers from companies like Paytm are also available. 

Ahead of Diwali Snapdeal has also ramped up its logistics network by adding 25 new centres and plans to add more in coming weeks.
