Skullcandy Smokin’ Buds maintains simplicity in the design. Encased in a squoval (rectangular with curved edges) -shaped plastic case with a matte finish, the buds offer a minimalist aesthetic. The buds turned out to be lightweight and water resistant. While lacking in standout design elements, it offered a comfortable fit but wasn't stable enough during heavy workout.

Skullcandy Smokin’ Buds Review: Bluetooth and Connectivity

Pairing the Smokin’ Buds with the iPhone was effortless, thanks to intuitive controls and Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity. I also paired the device with an Android smartphone which again turned out to be seamless.

Skullcandy Smokin’ Buds Review: Sound Quality

Departing from its signature bass-heavy sound, Skullcandy prioritises balanced audio with the Smokin’ Buds. Equipped with 6mm drivers, these buds delivered impressive sound quality. While lacking active noise cancellation (ANC), the snug fit effectively minimizes background noise.

Skullcandy Smokin’ Buds Review: Calls

Featuring microphones in each earbud, the Smokin’ Buds offer clear and reliable call quality. I enjoyed hassle-free communication without compromising audio clarity which is a rarity in budget true wireless earbuds.

Skullcandy Smokin’ Buds Review: Battery Life and charging

The buds provided a battery life of 8 hours per charge and an additional 10 hours from the case, which was satisfactory. While the case design could have been more compact, the LED indicator offered convenient battery status updates. Smokin’ Buds support fast charging as well.

Skullcandy Smokin’ Buds Review: My Experience

Priced attractively and delivering balanced audio performance, the Skullcandy Smokin’ Buds performed at par with my expectations for budget true wireless earbuds. Despite the absence of ANC, these buds excel in sound quality, call performance, and battery life, making them a compelling choice in their price range.

Final Verdict

According to me, this product is an overall hit because of what it offers at this price segment. I'll definitely recommend the Skullcandy Smokin’ Buds for quality sound, struggle-free connectivity, effortless calling, decent battery and snug fit.
