After WhatsApp had enabled an End-to- End (E2E) encryption of all messages between users of the app, the RTI activist commented on the susceptibility of the nation to terror attacks.

The Apex court has now asked the petitioner, Sudhir Yadav, to approach the Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) to further resolve the matter.

The TDSAT primarily deal with disputes and dispose of appeals with a view to protect the interests of service providers and consumers of the telecom sector and to promote and ensure orderly growth of the telecom.
