South Korean company, Samsung has made an official announcement about the impending arrival of a new member of its Galaxy family. Samsung event is to take place on August 9, 2018. Though the company did not mention the name, it is expected that Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is to be launched.

The clip of the official invite for Galaxy Unpacked gives us a glimpse of S Pen stylus that harks to flagship Note series smartphone. A few days ago, Galaxy Note 9 was spotted on US certification portal FCC and now the announcement of Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event gives us a final confirmation about the launch of the same.

“On August 9, Samsung Electronics will welcome a new member to the premium Galaxy family,” the company said in an official announcement.

Rumors have it that Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will have a 6.4-inch display. The physical design is expected to be same as Samsung Galaxy Note 8. It may have 4000mAh battery and will support wireless charging.

Some features are expected to be same as other Smartphone of Galaxy series. Galaxy Note 9 is expected to come with a dual variable aperture and 12MP dual camera sensors. The storage might offer 6GB RAM+256GB storage or 8GB RAM+512GB storage.

It may come with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 processor for China and US market or Exynos 9810 processor for global markets. Reports say that phone will run Android 8.1 Oreo.

There are many more features that are yet to be revealed. The company will host the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event on August 9, 2018, at 11 am ET (8:30 pm IST). The event will be live streamed through its YouTube channel.

“To celebrate the launch of the upcoming device, the company is hosting the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event on August 9, 2018,” announced Samsung.
