Samsung will be disclosing the launch date of its upcoming flagship smartphone the Galaxy S8 at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017 during the month. Samsung's CEO Kim Dong-jin will be announcing the official release data of the Galaxy S8 at MWC 2017 on February 27 in Barcelona, according to a Deccan Chronicle report.

This time Samsung is expected to delay the launch of its next Galaxy S series devices. The report says that the company might unveil the device at a separate event in New York on March 29 and will go on sale starting April 21.

Samsung has earlier said that it will hold a press conference on February 29. It released a teaser on its twitter handle saying, “Big news is on its way. Don't miss out.”

In terms of specifications the Samsung Galaxy S8 will come out with two models ie 5.8-inch display and 6.2-inch display. It will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and will have 4GB RAM. It will have a 64GB internal storage option, which will be expandable up to 256GB using a microSD card.

It will also be the first smartphone to feature Samsung's voice assistant Bixby and will run on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system.
