Samsung will be launching a successor to the Galaxy Xcover 3 and is expected to be available in Europe sometime in April. The Galaxy Xcover 4 smartphone was listed on the company's German website with all the specifications. The main highlight of the smartphone is its ruggedness and its dust and water resistance capabilities.

It will be priced at Euro 259 (around Rs 18,200). The Samsung Galaxy Xcover 4 comes with military grade MIL-STD 810G rating which is know for its toughness and ruggedness. It can even survive very high and low temperatures, falls, vibration, humidity and salt in the environment.

Apart from this, it also has IP68 rating that is dust and water resistant. The company also claims it can withstand immersion for up to 30 minutes in up to 1 meter of water.

It has three physical buttons at the bottom of the smartphone for home, navigation and multitasking. The Galaxy Xcover also supports the use of gloves to enable usage in extreme conditions.

Apart from the exterior and ruggedness, the Samsung Galaxy Xcover 4 specifications include 4.99 inch TFT display and is powered by a 64-bit 1.4GHz quad-core Exynos 7570 processor. It is also supported by the latest Android 7.0 Nougat with the company's own TouchWiz skin on top. It has a 2GB RAM and comes with a 16GB internal storage with an option to expand via microSD card.

In terms of the camera, it has a 13 megapixel rear camera and a 5 megapixel front selfie camera. It has 2800mAh battery.
