Samsung India launches 3rd generation Galaxy A7 priced at Rs 33,490, A5 at Rs 28,990

Samsung India on Monday launched the third generation of the Galaxy A series A7 and A5 smartphones in India. While the new Samsung Galaxy A7 was launched at a price of Rs 33,490, the Samsung Galaxy A5 is priced at 28,990.

The company announced that the new Galaxy A7 and A5 will be available from March 15 onwards through all distribution channels. It has also opened pre-bookings for the smartphones through the Samsung online portal from today.

Some of the specifications of the new Galaxy A series includes a 5.7-inch display for the Galaxy A7 and the 5.2-inch display for the Galaxy A5. Both come with a metal glass, 3D curvey body, zero protrusion camera lens, super AMOLED display and are IP68 water and dust resistant smartphones.

One of the key highlights of the smartphones is that both the A7 and A5 have 16 megapixel front as well as rear cameras with F1.9 lens. It also has a floating shutter button and allows users to click good photos even in low lighting conditions.

Apart from this, both smartphones are equipped with a 1.9GHz octa-core processor, 32GB internal memory which can be expanded to 256GB via microSD and 3GB RAM. While the A5 comes with a 3000mAh battery, the A7 comes with a 3600mAh battery. Both smartphones support fast charging capability.

Simple UI in the Galaxy A 2017 makes it easier to control the camera by just using one hand to swipe the screen, to change modes or instant filters to activate picture effects. Users can also leverage modes such as the Food Mode, to optimize photos and enhance the color of images.

The Galaxy A 2017 is available in two stylish colors - Black Sky and Gold Sand.
