The new device is the world's first smartphone with a quad rear camera setup. Launched in the mid-range premium segment, the new smartphone will go for sale in India both online and offline from November 28, 2018.

Samsung Galaxy A9 specifications and price

Samsung Galaxy A9 sports a quad camera set up at the rear along with a 24-megapixel main rear camera with f/1.7 aperture and LED flash. The 24-megapixel front camera with 120-degree ultrawide camera with f/2.4 aperture and a 5-megapixel depth camera with f/2.2 aperture.

Galaxy A9 will come with larger and wider 6.3-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity display with 1080×2220 pixels resolution for immersive viewing experience.

Powered by Octa-core Snapdragon 660 SoC coupled with Adreno 512 GPU, the new device will house an ergonomic design with a 3D glass-curved back. The new smartphone is also powered by 3800mAh battery with adaptive fast charging.

The Galaxy A9 comes in three colours- Lemonade blue, Bubblegum pink and Caviar Black. The 6GB+128GB variant is priced at Rs 36,990 and the 8GB+128GB variant will cost Rs 39,990.

The device comes with a USB power adaptor, USB cable, earphone, ejection pin, protection film, clear cover case and a starter guide.

Samsung globally launched Galaxy A9 in Malaysia last month.
