Samsung Galaxy A80 vs Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro vs OnePlus 7 Pro: Samsung launched its seventh and latest smartphone in the Galaxy A line up - the Samsung Galaxy A80 - on Thursday in India. The smartphone comes with premium features like full-HD+ Super AMOLED display, octa-core Snapdragon 730G SoC and brings world's first 48MP rotating triple camera to India. The Galaxy A80 competes against the OnePlus 7 Pro and the recently launched Redmi K20 Pro in the country. Touted as the 'flagship killer 2.0’, the Redmi K20 Pro was launched in India on Wednesday and offers many flagship-level features at a considerably low price. The K20 Pro gets a 3D curved glass body and comes in three attractive colour options: Glacier Blue, Flame Red and Carbon Black. The front camera has been replaced with a pop-up selfie camera which you also get on the OnePlus 7 Pro and there is also an in-display fingerprint scanner that allows a full screen display. The K20 Pro comes with a 6.39-inch AMOLED display which is smaller than the 6.67-inch AMOLED display that you get with the OnePlus 7 Pro. Meanwhile, the Galaxy A80 sports a 6.7-inch full-HD+ (1080x2400 pixels) Super AMOLED 'New Infinity Display' with 20:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone will be available in three colours- Ghost White, Phantom Black and Angel Gold.

The Galaxy A80 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 processor which is one of the latest chipsets in the market and has been used on the Redmi K20. However, both K20 Pro and OnePlus 7 Pro are powered by a faster Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor. Both these smartphones sport a 4,000mAh battery and offer up to 256GB of onboard storage. With the K20 Pro, you get 27W fast charging, while OnePlus 7 Pro offers Dash Charge 30. The Samsung Galaxy A80 packs a 3,700mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging and comes with 128GB of onboard storage that isn't expandable via microSD card.

This is where Samsung aims to beat its competitors by offering world's first 48MP rotating camera. The Samsung Galaxy A80 includes a 48-megapixel primary sensor with an f/2.0 lens and an 8-megapixel secondary sensor with an ultra-wide-angle 123-degree f/2.2 lens. The K20 Pro and the OnePlus 7 Pro have a triple rear camera setup with 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor. On K20 Pro, you get an 8-megapixel telephoto lens and a 13-megapixel wide-angle lens while the OnePlus 7 Pro offers an 8-megapixel telephoto lens and a 16-megapixel wide-angle lens. On the front, the OnePlus 7 Pro had a 16-megapixel selfie camera and the K20 Pro gets a 20-megapixel camera.

This is where the Redmi K20 Pro had trumped the OnePlus 7 Pro by offering the entire packaging at just Rs 27,999 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant while the 6GB RAM + 256GB storage variant has been priced at Rs 30,999. The OnePlus 7 Pro price in India starts at Rs 48,999 for the base model and goes up to Rs 57,999. The Galaxy A80 comes in a single variant with 8GB RAM + 128GB storage which has been priced at Rs 47,990. The smartphone will go on pre-booking in the country from July 22 to July 31 and will be available for purchase through all major mobile retail stores, Samsung India online store, Samsung Opera House, and all leading online channels starting August 1.
