Samsung Galaxy A6 has received its first price cut in India. Down from the launch price of Rs 21,990 to Rs 19,990 for the  4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage variant. The price cut is already effective on Amazon India, while Samsung Shop is still selling the device for the launch price.

Furthermore, the offline retailer stated that Samsung would be launching the 64GB variant of the Galaxy A6 at Rs 20,990, not at the launch price of Rs 22,990. Back in May 21, Samsung launched the Galaxy A6 in both 32GB and 64GB variants in India, but the latter did not appear for sale till date, reports Telecom Talk.

Samsung Galaxy A6+, on the other hand, is still retailing for Rs 25,990.

The smartphone sports a 5.6-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 720 x 1480 pixels and 18.5:9 aspect ratio. It is powered with good-old Exynos 7870 SoC, which is an octa-core chip with all the cores clocked at 1.6GHz. The chipset comes paired with 4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of storage. The 64GB storage variant of the smartphone will be available for purchase at a later date for the new price of Rs 20,990.

The Samsung Galaxy A6 sports a single camera of 16MP on the rear, which has a f/1.7 aperture and autofocus. Samsung has paired a 16MP front-facing camera which also comes with f/1.9 aperture. Both the front and rear cameras feature an LED flash. The phone also offers features such as Background Blur and Live Bokeh. The device is available in three colour options- Black, Blue and Gold, as per the report.

Samsung Galaxy A6 is a dual-SIM smartphone and runs on Android 8.0 Oreo with Samsung Experience UI on top.

On the connectivity front, the Galaxy A6 comes with 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, micro USB port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The device is powered by a 3000mAh battery.
