Reliance Jio has said that voice will always be free on its 4G VoLTE network. However, to make the best out of its offers, one must subscribe to its Prime offer and pay Rs 99 as an yearly fee.

Coming back to the Rs 309 plan, Reliance Jio has slightly different offerings if you are a prepaid or a postpaid customer.

If you are a prepaid customer who recharges their Reliance Jio 4G connection with Rs 309 pack, you will get a validity of 56 days with unlimited voice calls.

It's the 4G data offering where things get tricky. Under prepaid plan, recharging your phone with Rs 309 plan will get you 56 GB of data at 1 GB per day cap. This means that you will not be able to use more than 1 GB of 4G data per day for 56 days of the plan's validity.

Reliance Jio said, "Unutilised free benefits will be forfeited at the end of validity."

Post using this 56 GB data or 1 GB per day, data speeds will reduce to 128 KBPS.

Postpaid customers have a better deal than their prepaiad counterparts.

Although the validity of a Rs 309 recharge on postpaid connection of Reliance Jio remains two billing cycles, i.e. two months, there is more 4G data on offer.

Reliance Jio said that postpaid customers will get 60 GB of data instead of 56 GB that prepaid customers get.

Moreover, there is no cap of 1 GB of data each day as present in prepaid. This means that a postpaid customer can use more than 1 GB 4G data per day.
