On the front, you might get Dot drop notch on the Redmi Note 8 which offers a better screen-to-body ratio. Several leaks have claimed that the phone will be protected by the Gorilla Glass 5, which was also used on the Redmi Note 7 series. The Redmi Note 8 price will be similar to the China price of the Redmi Note 7, the company has said. This means that the Redmi Note 8 is likely to be priced under 1000 Yuan or under Rs 10,000. The Redmi Note 7 sells for Rs 9,999 in India.

Meanwhile, the company has also confirmed that the Redmi Note 8 Pro would come with a 64MP primary camera. This would put it in direct competition against Realme's 64MP camera smartphone which is yet to be launched by the company. Realme has confirmed that it will arrive in India before Diwali.
