Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Launch: Redmi Note 7, the smartphone which is expected to take on Samsung M30 in India, is set to be launched on February 28, months after its global launch in China. Xiaomi has been promoting the phone aggressively and it was even teased on Flipkart, days before the launch, suggesting that Redmi Note 7 could be a Flipkart exclusive. The smartphone comes with a dual rear camera that includes a 48-megapixel camera sensor and is expected to create some waves in the budget category.

The smartphone had made its debut in China market last month. Since then, various reports emerged claiming different launch for the smartphone in India. But, Xiaomi ended these rumours by sending out media invites for the launch event which will take place in New Delhi on February 28, i.e., Thursday.

The launch event will take place at KD Jadhav Indoor Hall, Gate 21, IG Indoor Stadium, New Delhi. The event will start at around 11:30 am IST.

The official price of Redmi Note 7 will be announced at the launch event. But, in China it is available for CNY 999 (roughly Rs. 10,500) for the 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage option. The 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage model comes at CNY 1,199 (roughly Rs. 12,600) and the 6GB RAM/ 64GB storage option at CNY 1,399 (roughly Rs. 14,800).

Redmi Note 7 features and specs

Redmi Note 7 is the first smartphone under Xiaomi’s sub-brand: Redmi. It comes with a 6.3-inch full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) display along with a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. There is a Snapdragon 660 SoC, paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It has a 48MP rear camera sensor that comes with another 5MP sensor. On the front, it has a 13MP selfie shooter.

Redmi Note 7 is powered by a 4,000mAh battery with a Quick Charge 4 support. The connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
